My name is Ari Goldman. I am a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt and have been training for the past 13 years. BJJ makes me a better version of myself each and every day. It has given me self confidence and inner peace that goes beyond the gym. I’ve noticed its positive impact on the way I interact with people in my personal life, professional life as well as new people I meet on a regular basis. Jiu Jitsu has given me a purpose and direction in life along with a safe place to relieve stress in a healthy manner. I am beyond grateful for the amazing community Jiu Jitsu has shared with me and all of the incredible friendships I’ve developed around the world.
I understand not everyone is interested in learning self defense or martial arts. Maybe you are dealing with injuries, afraid of getting injured, feeling intimidated to walk into a martial arts gym, and the list goes on. Jiu Jitsu FLO is an alternative way to experience some of the benefits Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has to offer, including Self Confidence, New Skill Acquisition, Community and more.
I have dealt with many injuries throughout my 13 years of training, often sidelined for months at a time. Jiu Jitsu FLO can be used as a warm up and/or cool down that is very helpful for injury prevention. When we’re not able to make it to a Jiu Jitsu class due to work, family or life circumstances it is important to stay moving. Especially if we’re sitting at a desk all day, having movements we can do 5-10 minutes at a time will significantly help with the longevity of our bodies as BJJ practitioners as well as human beings overall. In addition, especially for beginning Jiu Jitsu practitioners, learning the movements to a technique can be extremely helpful to the understanding and efficiency of performing techniques with a partner. Jiu Jitsu FLO incorporates 100s of movements used in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
